Meet the 2025 Award Honorees


Rudy Rodríguez, Jr. is Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Dave & Buster’s Entertainment, Inc., a national leader in dining and entertainment. The Company operates a system of over 235 Dave & Buster’s and Main Event locations in 43 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and India.

At Dave & Buster’s, Rudy is responsible for corporate governance, board and committee support, SEC reporting and compliance. He leads the Legal and Compliance functions, which provide legal services, including transactional support, litigation management, real estate support, employment counsel, and regulatory compliance. He also oversees the Risk Management team, directing business insurance, safety, and loss prevention programs; and Business Licensing, ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements.

A graduate of Texas A&M University and Harvard Law School, before joining Dave & Buster’s Rudy was Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer of CEC Entertainment, LLC, which is the company behind the Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza dining and family entertainment brands, from 2014 to 2023. He previously practiced commercial and employment litigation at several Dallas law firms, as well as in the legal departments of American Airlines and J.C. Penney Corporation, and he was General Counsel of American Eagle Airlines from 2000 to 2003.

He is Immediate Past President of the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court, a member of the American Law Institute, serves on the boards of directors of the Dallas Zoological Society, the Texas Trees Foundation, and the Denton High School Family Assistance Foundation, and is active in several other community and professional organizations. Rudy has been recognized twice as Outstanding General Counsel for a Small Legal Department, first by the Association of Corporate Counsel and Texas Lawbook in their 2020 Dallas/Fort Worth Corporate Counsel Awards, and again in 2022 with a Magna Stella Award presented by the Texas General Counsel Forum.

Rudy lives in Dallas with his wife, Stacy, who is an Executive Assistant City Attorney for the City of Dallas; and they have two grown children, Grace and Jimmy.

Clarissa is an accomplished legal leader currently serving as Managing Counsel – Privacy, AI & Cybersecurity at Toyota Financial Services, where she leads enterprise-wide efforts to operationalize state privacy regulations and scale the company’s privacy program. Her strategic counsel spans stakeholder engagement, regulatory interpretation, and best practice implementation. She also negotiates complex data privacy provisions across TFS and Toyota Motor Company, and advises TFS’ short car rental gig economy business, Kinto, on privacy best practices. In 2023, she was appointed the company’s legal lead for Artificial Intelligence, where she has been instrumental in shaping the governance framework for responsible AI use. She authored the company’s first Generative AI policy, negotiated AI terms in supplier agreements, and continues to guide the organization on emerging AI legal and ethical considerations. 

Her career reflects a consistent pattern of building programs from the ground up. At Flowserve, she led the global Data Privacy Program across 55 countries, designing a culturally sensitive and legally sound framework aligned with the company’s risk profile. At AT&T, she developed a tailored compliance program for the AdTech affiliate Xander, and launched AT&T Mexico’s bilingual compliance program in Mexico—an industry-first for the company. Beyond her corporate achievements, she is a passionate advocate for community empowerment and mentorship. She plays a leadership role in her company’s Hispanic employee resource group, TODOS, mentoring rising Latina professionals and moderating panels that celebrate authenticity and career growth. She also serves on the Hispanic National Bar Association Region XII, where she co-chaired the Pearls of Wisdom event in McAllen, TX, inspiring aspiring Latinas to pursue careers in law. 

Her thought leadership extends to the Texas State Bar, where she shares insights on emerging privacy and AI laws, and actively promotes the visibility of other subject matter experts. Her board service includes the Mexican American Bar Association of San Antonio, Hidalgo County Bar Association, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, HNBA Region XII, and Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the legal profession and her unwavering commitment to community service, she was selected a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation in 2022. 

She graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Texas. In addition, Clarissa holds several certifications, such as a CIPP-US and CIPM Privacy certification by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a CCEP Compliance and Ethics certification for both US and International and most recently earned IAPP’s AGIP certification to demonstrate expertise in responsible AI governance and regulations. In August of 2017, she graduated from SMU’s Corporate Executive Development Program and in 2022, she was selected to attend the Hispanic Association in Corporate Responsibility Leadership Pipeline program. 

Fun Fact: Clarissa loves to dance flamenco and has performed throughout San Antonio, Dallas and Rio Grande Valley.





Kimberly focuses on corporate, real estate and commercial lending matters. Her experience in mergers and acquisitions includes crafting purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence reviews and drafting ancillary documents for seamless closings.

In commercial real estate, Kimberly is well versed in dispositional acquisitions of properties, lease negotiations, and drafting and review. She handles PSA review, title review, closing docs, lease-related matters, notices of default, and consents to assignments and sublease transactions with precision.

With a strong focus on commercial finance, Kimberly navigates loan agreement drafting, guaranty document creation and thorough title reviews. Her comprehensive approach helps ensure precise execution of loan documentation.

Kimberly’s resilience and proficiency make her an invaluable asset in corporate, real estate and commercial finance, offering practical guidance in navigating diverse legal landscapes.



Juan Antonio is a financial services regulatory and litigation associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.  He counsels banks, fintech companies, and gaming operators on a wide range of market regulation issues, particularly those involving payments, securities, consumer protection, and data privacy, and represents financial services clients in high-stakes litigation and government investigations. 

Juan Antonio devotes substantial time to bar association service and has held leadership roles with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, where he later returned to teach as an adjunct professor in the school’s Practice Court program.
